Whitesnake tour from the eponymous album that had all their big hits. This is when Vivian Campbell was lead guitarist. Great White opened and our seats were on the floor, 24 rows back and I went with the same 2 burnout friends from the Eddie Murphy concert. One of them was this hideously ugly chick Deborah who we only hung out with because her mom had great connections at UF for tickets. She got us these floor seats – Go, Ugly Debbie’s mom!! Too bad my friend Jeff had to bang Ugly Debbie to get the tickets. I sure as hell wasn’t gonna. But he wasn’t too picky, so it worked out as a win-win-win!
Omg, my wife and I are celebrating our 30th anniversary and she made a CD of songs spanning the 30 years…. we went to this whitesnake concert 2 days before we got married….at the USC sundome…..

My compliments for your nice website ! I know WHITESNAKE and GREAT WHITE concert played in Jacksonsville 24 March 1988 had 7720 spectators ! I am a huge rock gig collector and I know also Gary Rossington (legendary guitar played of LYNYRD SKYNYRD) has shared some years ago a memory about a concert he saw with other members of LYNYRD SKYNRD in Jacksonville – Skateland. He was hugely influenced by English rock band FREE.
Further research says FREE should have played in Jacksonville Skateland in early August 1969.
