So, the original PLAN was to attend Rebel Rock, the first annual 4-day metal fest in Orlando, FL. However, the festival got canceled just before it was to officially kick off on Day 1 (Friday) due to bad weather and a subsequent wobbly stage on soggy footing. HOWEVER, we did get Day Zero (Thursday) in the bag before it got shut down. Day Zero was the Taco Metal Party, hosted by Jose Mangin from Sirius XM. Jesse & Lindsey were there with me, and others were going to join us for the rest of the weekend, but it just wasn’t meant to be. It was still a decent day with a killer P.O.D. headline set, and a great new band discovered at the fest… Sons Of Texas. The day was also rounded out by sets from Slaves, Kyng, Otherwise, Another Day Dawns, Grehaven, Killakoi, Fate Destroyed, Matriarchs, and Part Time Super Heroes. Never got my refund and they haven’t had another year of it since.
