Marilyn Manson and Hole were co-headlining the Beautiful Monsters Tour until a falling out between Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love caused Hole to leave the tour. It was renamed the Rock Is Dead Tour with just Marilyn Manson promoting the Mechanical Animals album with opening act Monster Magnet. This guy sure knew how to stir up controversy to get attention. He ripped pages from Bibles onstage from behind a rifle-adorned pulpit while making his claims about God and religion. The guy even crucified himself on a cross of TVs. I am pretty sure that he ate a human soul on stage that night…hope it wasn’t mine. Second time seeing Monster Magnet and they sucked twice as bad as the first time.
