This is another one for my Top 5. Guns N’ Roses – on top of the world – right after the release of their double album Use Your Illusion I & II. In terms of best rock bands of all time at their peak – undeniably one for the record books. This was right after the St. Louis riots caused by GNR walking off early in the set due to cameras in the audience, so anything was possible with these lunatics. They came out about an hour later than scheduled, which was the norm for GNR in those days. THEY KILLED THE WHOLE PLACE. They played for 2 and a half hours and gave everything they had during that show. Soundgarden was the opening act, circa Badmotorfinger album, and also kicked ass.
