Round two for Whitesnake, this time promoting their Slip Of The Tongue album with Steve Vai replacing Vivian Campbell as lead guitarist. I believe this was just Mary and I. Great show…Steve Vai guitar solos are quite an experience! He had the three armed guitars out playing both arms simultaneously and at the end of his solo, the guitar lifted off him and ascended into the air disappearing into the lights all while still carrying the final notes. Pretty cool stuff. Not to mention at the time I wanted Tommy Aldridge’s drum kit so bad I was ready to commit crimes to get it. I mean how tight is that setup? Bad English was the opening act.
We had third row for this show. Bad English did a decent job warming the crowd up. We came to see Vai! But my girlfriend at the time got sick about halfway through their set and we had to leave….
